Dave Chappelle Reveals Why He Won’t Join The Herd And Bash Trump, It’s Awesome

In a profession filled with supposed iconoclasts, comedian Dave Chappelle is the real rebel. In fact, he is refusing to join the rest of the comedy community by filling his show with anti-Trump “jokes.” Even as every other so-called comedian spends 75 percent of his show boring audiences with the same old anti-Trump jokes, Chappelle says he won’t do it because he doesn’t want to be a follower.

Chappelle told The New York Times that he doesn’t want to be part of the comedy “chorus,” the Daily Wire reported.

“But the whole Trump things makes it harder for comedians,” Chappelle told the paper.

“He’s so skewed, it’s hard to find an angle that sounds fresh,” Chappelle continued. “If you talk about him, it’s almost like you’re part of the chorus and not a soloist.”

The comedian rarely hits on Trump during his shows over the last few years. Why would he want to be boring like everyone else?

As DW noted, Owen Benjamin had a perfect rejoinder to the boring sameness of “comedy” in America today with a tweet that slammed all the late night hosts…

It should also be added, that all but one of them are white males, too. What happened to Hollywood’s purported commitment to “diversity”?

Chappelle is no stranger to having liberals get mad at him. In fact, he warns everyone at the start of his show that he is an equal opportunity offender. “Ladies and gentleman, man the f*ck up or you’re not going to make it through this show,” he often says.

Most recently Chappelle was attacked by liberals for supposedly making “homophobic and transphobic” jokes. Breitbart News reported that at least one of the comedian’s jokes set the left on edge:

“L. G. B. T. Q?! I was like what the f*ck is the Q? Does that even make sense, Q? Turns out Q is like the vowels, that sh*t is sometimes ‘Y’. It’s for gay dudes that don’t really know they’re gay. you know what I mean. like prison f*gs who are like: “What I’m not gay n***a I’m just sucking these d*cks to pass the time.”

He also took a swipe at Caitlyn Jenner and transgender people:

“Whenever I see one of them Ts on the street I’m like ‘I don’t mind them but man I miss Bruce,’” he said to laughter from the audience.

“I knew before you guys knew,” he says of Jenner’s sexuality. “I heard things on the street in Hollywood, you know you used to be out, see people: ‘Hey what’s up Kanye, why the long face?’ ‘N*gaa you’ll see, I’ve got two mother in laws now.’”

But that was far from the first time the left has attacked Chappelle over his act.

In 2016 he went after Black Lives Matter calling their name the worst slogan he’s ever heard. He took brickbats for that, too.

In another case he slammed Hillary Clinton and said that Donald Trump was the “most gangsta candidate” he’d ever seen. Liberals weren’t happy with that, either.

So, Chappelle truly is an iconoclast. Now, don’t go thinking he is a big Trump fan, because he isn’t, but he earns props for refusing to follow the pack.
